NotableCheng-Yao Lin, an assistant professor in Curriculum and Instruction, and Jerry P. Becker, a professor in Curriculum and Instruction, will present their paper, "Effects of Instruction on Elementary and Special Education Preservice Teachers' Computational Skills," at the annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 15, 2006. Bill Shields, an assistant professor in Workforce Education and Development, will be honored Dec. 1 as Rend Lake College's Alumnus of the Year for 2005. The dinner and awards ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Mount Vernon. Shields is coordinator of the Workforce Education and Development on-campus weekend program and internships. |
