Fliers RowSeveral events highlight the coming weeks in this edition of Fliers Row. Included is a lecture Monday, Nov. 7 by Janice Jacobs, a deputy assistant Secretary of State and SIUC alumnus on "Balancing Border Security and International Education Exchanges," and the annual Jackson County SIUC Alumni Chapter awards banquet. A drag show with proceeds benefiting hurricane relief efforts will be held Friday, Nov. 4. Spotlight publishes PDF's of fliers that campus departments previously distributed through campus mail. Electronically sending fliers is a suggestion many across campus submitted to the Agility and Efficiency Task Force. PDF submissions should be forwarded to Pete Rosenbery at prosen@siu.edu and siucnews@siu.edu. PDF's should not have a document size more than 8.5 inches by 11 inches, and should be optimized for viewing on the Web. The deadline for submission is Monday at noon for distribution in that week's Spotlight. University policy does not allow fliers to be posted on buildings, overpasses, light poles, trees and windows. Fliers posted in these locations will be removed, and individuals (and groups) responsible will be charged for cleanup.
