Presenting his findings -- Yuriy Gorodnichenko, a research assistant and doctoral candidate in economics at the University of Michigan, discusses research relating to the bond market Friday during at the 15th annual meeting of the Midwest Econometric Group. The event was Friday and Saturday at the Student Center. One hundred people attended the conferences hosted by SIUC economics professor Subhash C. Sharma. William H. Greene, professor of economics at Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University presented Friday's dinner speech. Even though the Midwest Econometric Group meetings are held in Midwest, participants came all over the country and even from New Zealand, Korea, Taiwan and Canada. Previous meetings have been held at universities including Northwestern University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Indiana, University of Wisconsin, and the University of Chicago.
