Wall & Grand Apartments dedication is Oct. 5

University Housing invites the entire campus community and the general public to the dedication ceremony for the Wall & Grand Apartments at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5. The 100-unit complex is at the northwest corner of Wall Street and Grand Avenue, and parking is available either across Grand Avenue from the complex or behind the Student Recreation Center.

Larry H. Dietz, vice chancellor for student affairs, will serve as emcee for the program, which will take place in the courtyard of the complex. Speakers will include SIU President Glenn Poshard; SIUC Chancellor Fernando M. Treviño; Julie Payne-Kirchmeier, director of University Housing; Ed Jones, former University Housing director; and Jerry Chickerillo, president of the Residence Hall Association.

Following the program, there will be a reception and tours of apartments will be available. The celebration will conclude at 6 p.m.
