Saluki Way gift announcement ThursdayThe first major corporate gift in support of Saluki Way will be announced at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 31. SIUC Chancellor Walter V. Wendler will join other campus administrators and officials from Old National Bank under the arch of the Troutt-Wittmann Academic and Training Center for the announcement. Saluki Way is the plan to create a new campus core that will stretch from the flagpole outside of Altgeld Hall, south to a new football stadium and refurbished SIU Arena. The plan, part of the University's master plan, also calls for a new student services building, a new academic building and modern parking garages.
