Coming eventsThe football Salukis open the 2007 season at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at McAndrew Stadium against NAIA Quincy University. The Salukis are ranked No. 12 in The Sports Network’s Top 25 FCS pre-season poll. Tickets are $19 for prime reserved seats and $15 for all other reserved and general admission seats. Prices are $8 for high school and younger. SIUC student tickets are free with a valid SIUC student ID on game day.
The traditional opening of the Kleinau season featuring a variety of performances selected and performed by current SIUC graduate students is set for Saturday, Sept. 1. The curtain rises at 8 p.m. on "An Evening of Graduate Student Performances" in the Marion Kleinau Theatre in the Communications Building. Admission is free.
The second and third of three ORDA New Faculty Orientation workshops are set for 9-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, and 1:30-3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Woody Hall, Room C-227. The identical workshops cover proposal and award processing and internal funding programs.
The SIUC women's volleyball team hosts Western Illinois at 7 p.m., Wednesday Sept. 5, at Davies Gym. Tickets are $5 for adults; $3 for faculty, staff, senior citizens and kids. SIUC student tickets are free with a valid SIUC student ID on game day.
