One last spin -- Retired SIUC physiology professor Harold M. Kaplan takes a last ride on Robert Reid's adult three-wheel bicycle at an Aug. 17 celebration honoring Kaplan's 56 years with the University. Reid, the campus flag master, met Kaplan each morning at the flagpole and let Kaplan bicycle to his Wheeler Hall office. Celebrating with Kaplan are (from left) MEDPREP instructor Shirley J. McGlinn, retired electrical and biomedical engineering professor Charles A. Rawlings, and Kathleen A. Jones, a visiting instructor and chair of the Student Progress Committee for the MEDPREP program.
