The first of three ORDA New Faculty Orientation workshops is from 1:30 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, in Woody Hall, Room C-227. The workshop covers proposal and award processing and internal funding programs. The other two identical workshops are on Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. For more information or to reserve a seat call 618/453-4540.

The annual Saluki Football Fish Fry and Auction begins at 5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, at the SIU Arena. Tickets are $8 for adults; $4 for children under 12. Call 618/453-3331 for more information.
