Sending out a big Saluki welcome -- Crews spent Monday on the north side of Lincoln Drive erecting one of two main entrance signs near McAndrew Stadium. The signs are made of brick and precast and will be lighted and landscaped. Phil Gatton, director of Plant and Service Operations, said signs with the same designs will also be constructed at secondary entrances, including Mill Street and Chautauqua Street. Building the sign are (from left) physical plant maintenance laborers Keith E. Gale of Ava and Jerry Womick of Carbondale, and temporary help Nate Roberson of Paducah.
