Open house set for July 20Students and parents from throughout the state will converge on SlUC next week for open house events on campus. The event is set for 9 a.m., Friday, July 20, at the Student Recreation Center. Pam Wilkins, special events coordinator for undergraduate admissions, said organizers expect about 800 visitors, including prospective students and their families. The numerous open houses each year give everyone on campus one of many opportunities to help with recruitment and retention. Representatives from every college and almost every major program on campus, as well as financial aid advisers, housing officials and other campus services will be on hand to answer questions, Wilkins said. Admissions personnel will provide campus and housing tours and select departments will provide facility tours as well. There are five more planned open house events during the next year.
For more information, contact Wilkins by email or call 618/453-2992.
