NotableM Stalls, a developmental skills training specialist for the Center for Basic Skills, was recently elected to the Association of Black Women in Higher Education national board of directors. Stalls along with the new officers and fellow board members of the Association were installed at the University of Pennsvylvania in Philadelphia on June 17. ABWHE was founded in 1978 by 13 women of vision, who met in Albany, N.Y., and since its founding serves as a forum for developing strategies to improve the quality of education of African Americans. Stalls has been associated with ABWHE for more than a decade. |
