Computer, identity protection increases

In order to provide increased computer security and identity protection to the campus community, SIUC Administration in conjunction with IT Network Security is instituting a 120-day Network ID password change requirement.

All users will be required to change their Network ID password every 120 days or their account will be locked. The upcoming deadline is Monday, September 19. Any user who has not changed their Network ID password within the last 120 days by Sept. 19 will have their account locked. The Network ID is used by students, faculty and staff for SIUC email, dialins, Computer Learning Centers, wireless/VPN access, and a variety of other computing services on campus.

The Network Security Team, Campus Systems, and the Computer Support Center will be providing documentation and additional information in the near future.
