Kevin Dorsey, Ph.D., dean and provost, in announcing the appointment.  “Along with both of our affiliated hospitals, St. John's and Memorial, Springfield is providing comprehensive health care for women in the region and SIU's ob/gyn department will continue to play an active role in expanding those services.”

Previously, Loret de Mola was the director of the oocyte donor program at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) (1999-2000) and on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (UPSM) (1994-96).
