New faces at the Student Center

Two new faces are coming aboard at the Student Center, one as director of Student Center dining services and the other as manager of University Bookstore.

Louisiana native Keith Foreman, who has been at his post since mid-April, heads dining services, a responsibility that covers every food vendor in the building except McDonald's.

"The more I talk to him, the more pleased I become," said T.J. Rutherford, director of the Student Center. "He has good managerial skills that will suit our account well and I'm really pleased to introduce him to the campus."

Foreman, who replaces interim director John Lindl, has 19 years of management experience in both food service and retail stores. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Foreman's wife, Dayna, and their three children will join him in Carbondale this summer.

Rip Scott begins June 6 as manager of the University Bookstore.

With eight years of industry experience and a history of exceptional performance in the Follett Higher Education Group, Scott's background includes managing bookstores at Coastal Carolina University at Conway, S.C., John Brown University at Siloam Springs, Ark. and the University of Oklahoma at Norman

Rutherford calls Scott's management experience "very positive. He's done good things at the institutions where he's been. In the last place he was, he more than doubled sales."

Scott holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at Chickasha.
