Flying high - Approximately 50 junior high and high school students from central and Southern Illinois attended SIUC's sixth annual Corporate Aviation/General Aviation Career Day, Saturday, April 28. The potential future Salukis toured the University's aviation facilities at Southern Illinois Airport, as well as the main campus. The students received introductory flights in SIUC aircraft, and SIUC aviation students, faculty and staff answered questions about the University's aviation programs — aviation flight, aviation management and aviation technologies. The students also attended a panel discussion on careers in the aviation field.
