SIRIS yard sale is SaturdayIf you like yard sales, the Southern Illinois Radio Information Service (SIRIS) is holding one Saturday, April 30 that promises to have a bit of something for everyone. The yard sale is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1003 S. Oakland Ave., near the intersection of South Oakland Avenue and West Chautauqua Street. There will be hundreds of CD's, records and household items available to take home. Proceeds benefit the continued operation of the Southern Illinois Radio Information Service. The Southern Illinois Radio Information Service is a non-profit organization that provides a reading-and-information service for blind, visually impaired, and print-disabled individuals. Voice recordings are offered free of charge to anyone in our listening area who is unable to read normal printed material.
