Alumni Association appreciation day is May 7

Non-members of the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Alumni Association have a chance to join the fun during the group's member appreciation tailgate, Saturday, May 7 at Abe Martin Field.

The pre-game gathering begins at noon, prior to the SIUC-Wichita State baseball game. Alumni Association members will gather under the Association's tailgate tent on "The Hill." The Salukis play Wichita State at 2 p.m. Members of the 1990 Missouri Valley Conference champion Saluki baseball team -- the last SIUC squad to win the league title and advance to the NCAA Tournament -- are the special guests.

Non-member attending the appreciation tailgate must join the SIU Alumni Association. Annual memberships are $40. A life membership is $500, and life membership installment plans are available. A membership application and list of benefits is available at siualumni.com.
