Nominations open for Inspiring Women awards

Do you know inspiring women who have made a difference in Southern Illinois through service to their community? Those inspiring individuals who lead on the job and after hours in their community will receive recognition again this fall at SIUC.

The Southern Illinois University Foundation's Inspiring Women Program will honor those outstanding individuals from across Southern Illinois for their contributions at a gala celebration on Oct. 14 at the SIUC Student Center.

The program's nominations committee for the 2006 Inspiring Women Awards is now accepting applications. Individuals must live or work in Southern Illinois. Past winners have included teachers, business professionals, and others who have made significant and lasting contributions. Deadline to submit nominations is June 30.
