Wall & Grand Apartments open house is ThursdayProspective residents and members of the community can tour SIUC's new Wall & Grand Apartments from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 26. Each of the apartments in the complex, located on the corner of Wall Street and Grand Avenue, near the Student Recreation Center and Student Health Center, includes a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, living room, balcony/patio, washer and drier, two bathrooms with separate vanity areas, and two or four bedrooms. The apartments house freshmen age 21 or older and sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students of all ages. The first building in the three building, four-story brick complex opened in December 2006 and the other two buildings will open Aug. 1. The apartments feature many amenities for one all-inclusive price. This week's open house showcases that fine living in time for students to submit applications for the fall semester. The tour begins in the Building 1 commons area with refreshments served. The sightseeing wraps up in the second building with viewing of a four-bedroom apartment.
