SIUC chancellor finalists on campusThe first of four finalists for chancellor of SIUC will participate in open public forums Thursday and Friday in Carbondale. John H. Frederick, executive vice president and provost, University of Nevada, Reno, visits today (April 25) through Saturday, April 28. Frederick's open public forums in Carbondale and Springfield are:
A second candidate, Sue Kiefer Hammersmith, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, visits Sunday, April 29 through Wednesday, May 2. Hammersmith's open public forums in Carbondale and Springfield are:
A third candidate, Yash P. Gupta, professor of operations management, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, visits Wednesday, May 2, through Saturday, May 5. The scheduled visit earlier this week of Fernando M. Treviño, dean of the School of Public Health, the University of North Texas Science Center in Fort Worth, was postponed due to illness. Treviño's visit in Carbondale is planned for May 6-8, with a visit to the SIU School of Medicine in Springfield on the afternoon of May 8. Treviño's itinerary during the visit is currently being planned, and will be announced soon.
