Welch golf scramble to aid student scholarshipsGolfers and SIUC fans alike are invited to participate in the 11th Annual Student Affairs Harvey Welch, Jr. Golf Scramble on Friday, May 2, at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale. The SIUC Division of Student Affairs sponsors the event, and proceeds will benefit student scholarships and enhance student services. This year's event begins with lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon. The cost to play is $100 for individuals and $400 for a four-person team. Individuals will be assigned to a team. A raffle and silent auction follow the golf scramble. Non-golfers can also enjoy lunch for $10 and have their photo taken with a live Saluki dog. To sign up, or for more information, call Vicki Nelson at 618/453-2461 or email at vnelson@siu.edu. A registration form may also be downloaded at http://www.siu.edu/staffair/SA_Welch_Scramble.pdf.
