Flags lowered in memory of Virginia Tech victimsThe United States flag and Illinois state flag are being flown at half-staff through sunset on Sunday, April 22, to honor the victims of the Virginia Tech University tragedy, under a proclamation signed by Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich. In addition, interim SIUC Chancellor John M. Dunn has asked that at 11:05 a.m. each day through Friday, that all campus activity come to a stop for 60 seconds out of respect for Monday's victims and for those who survived. Employees are asked to reflect in their own personal and private way.
