Outstanding A/P award nominees named

Ten accomplished University employees are nominated for the 2006 Administrative/Professional Outstanding Service Award.

The award recognizes exemplary achievement in University, community, regional and national service.

A reception honoring the 10 nominees and the award recipient is set for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, in the Old Main Lounge in the Student Center.

The outstanding employee chosen receives a $2,000 cash award; a marked, reserved parking space on campus for one year; an engraved plaque; has their name added to the permanent plaque displayed near the Student Center River Rooms; and is recognized at the Chancellor's recognition dinner, which begins with a reception at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 27 in Student Center Ballroom B.

The 10 nominees are:

  • Stephen O. Buhman, producer, Media & Communication Resources.
  • Paulette Curkin, coordinator, Student Development.
  • JP Dunn, specialist, Library Affairs.
  • Nikki M. Hornsberry, coordinator of student programs, University Programming.
  • Jill S. Kirkpatrick, assistant to vice chancellor student affairs, Bursar's Office.
  • Keith D. McMath, coordinator, University Housing.
  • Gregory A. Scott, assistant director, Alumni Services.
  • Richard W. Steudel, assistant director, Financial Aid.
  • Jak Tichenor, producer, Broadcasting Service.
  • Julia A. Wetstein, assistant dean, Agricultural Sciences.
