Wood sculptures exhibit extended

The University Museum is extending an exhibition of beautiful wood sculptures -- shown under the banner "Conceptual Carpentry".

The exhibit will remain on view through April 21.

The pieces are the creations of Stewart P. Wessel, associate professor of architecture at SIUC. His creations range from personal to abstract in nature.

Museum admission is free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 1-4 p.m. Saturdays through Mondays.

Wessel is a licensed architect and he keeps a studio on campus, where he teaches in the Department of Architecture and Interior Design in the College of Applied Sciences and Arts.
