Annual spring and yard craft sale is April 22The SIUC Civil Service Council's annual spring yard and craft sale is set for Saturday, April 22. Shoppers may browse for those “can’t miss” treasures and trinkets from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Arena parking lot adjacent to the round parking lot. There is no parking in the circular lot without prior consent. Proceeds go to the Civil Service Education Assistance Fund. No refunds will be given. The cost to sellers for a single space (18 feet wide by 18 feet deep) is $25. The cost for a double space (36 feet wide by 18 feet deep) is $35. Payment is due by 4 p.m., April 19. Sellers renting space on the day of the sale will pay an additional $5. Regulations prohibit the sale of food, alcohol, firearms, ammunition and hazardous materials. Also prohibited is amplification of any type, including microphones. The rain date is April 23. The rain date will be used only if hazardous conditions such as thunderstorms and lightning exist that prevent setup on April 22.
