The SIUC Wind Ensemble and SIUC Symphonic Band perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, at Shryock Auditorium. Admission is $3 for the general public; $2 for students.
"Lost in Translation: Women in the Bible," a look at gender in the rhetoric and perspective of the original Hebraic text in the Bible, will be presented at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 9, in Student Center Ballroom A. The event is part of Women’s History Month on campus. Admission is free.
The Saluki men's baseball team hosts Middle Tennessee State for a three-game series at Abe Martin Field starting at 2 p.m., Friday, March 10. The Salukis also play single games at 1 p.m., Saturday March 11, and Sunday, March 12. Admission is free.
Renowned folk artist John Prine, the 2005 Americana Music Awards ‘Artist of the Year’ and 2006 Grammy Award winner for best contemporary folk album, brings his classic hits to Shryock Auditorium at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 11. Also appearing with Prine is special guest, Raul Malo. The concert is sold out.
