Coming eventsA musical/comedy horror show about a half-boy/half bat creature, a lecture on the "unsung heroes" of a bus boycott in Montgomery, Ala., and the start of a two-month exhibit of impressionist oil paintings are among the highlights on campus this week. "Bat Boy, the Musical," presented by the SIUC Department of Theater, has performances at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26, in McLeod Theater. Performances also are set for March 3-6. Tickets are available at the theater's box office, open from noon to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and one hour before each performance. At noon, Monday, Feb. 28, the 50th anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott will be discussed in "A Journey from Brown to Montgomery," in the Student Center's Ohio Room. Twenty of award-winning Southern Illinois artist Missy Carstens' impressionist oil paintings will be on display March 1- April 29 at the Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center.
