Nominees sought for Civil Service award

SIUC's Civil Service Council is seeking nominations for the 24th annual outstanding service award. The chancellor's office and SIU Foundation provide the funding for the award.

The award recognizes outstanding service to the University and the broader community by a member of the Civil Service staff. The award winner will receive a $2,000 cash award, have her or his named added to the permanent plaque displayed in the Student Center, and receive a designated parking space (Carbondale campus) for one year.

Any SIUC employee may submit a nomination. Nominees may be any Civil Service employee with a minimum of five consecutive years of service in a status Civil Service position. All Civil Service employees whose reporting lines fall under the chancellor are eligible for the award. Past recipients are not eligible.

Completed nomination packets and letters of reference must be received in the Professional Constituencies Office, Woody Hall C114, Mailcode 4712, by 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 8.
