Donations top $3,000; deadline extendedThe deadline for contributions to the University-wide tsunami relief campaign has been extended to Feb. 25. Donations from members of the SIUC community total $3,136. The student-led initiative was announced Jan. 18 by Wan Kamal Wan Napi, president of the International Student Council; Tequia Hicks, president of the Undergraduate Student Government; Chancellor Walter V. Wendler; and other members of the campus community. The chancellor's office is accepting checks, payable to UNICEF, on behalf of the student groups. |
