Science Fair judges sought

SIUC faculty and graduate students are invited to judge this year's Illinois Junior Academy of Science Region 8 Science Fair on Thursday, March 29.

More than 500 projects from students in seventh through 12th grade from throughout Southern Illinois will be competing at the Student Center. More than $6,000 in prize money will be awarded to students and their schools, and 60 projects will advance to state competition, May 4-5, at the University of Illinois.

There are two different times to judge - 8:45 to 11 a.m., or 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., or both. For more information, contact mathematics professor and Region 8 Science Fair coordinator Kathy Pericak-Spector.
