Upcoming EventsA professor caught in the midst of one of history's deadliest natural disasters, and the highly acclaimed musical performance of The Ten Tenors are just two of the many events on campus this week. SIUC journalist-in-residence William Recktenwald recounts his experience of being caught in one of history's deadliest natural disasters in his presentation, “After the Tsunami,” Thursday, Feb. 10, in Student Center Ballroom B. Recktenwald was in Sri Lanka when a tsunami struck southern Asia. The program also features SIUC students from the affected countries, and provide an opportunity to make contributions to the relief fund for disaster recovery. The Ten Tenors return Thursday, Feb. 10, to Shryock for a 7:30 p.m. show that features a variety of musical selections.
