Mrs. Walker is a past recipient of a lung transplant and is part of a volunteer network that works to promote organ donation. Illinois has the largest donor registry in the nation with more than 6 million people participating, White says. However about 5,000 people in Illinois are on transplant waiting lists. The appearance at the game is designed to help raise awareness for organ and tissue donation.

The Salukis face Indiana State in a Missouri Valley Conference game. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
