On the recruiting trail — SIUC representatives were in force at Chester High School Tuesday, Jan. 30, for a recruiting initiative with Southwestern Illinois College. University officials and admissions personnel met with students, while members of the Marching Salukis Pep Band, SIUC cheerleaders and Saluki Shakers performed during Chester’s basketball game with Nashville. Among those participating from SIUC (from left to right) were: Saluki Ambassador Michelle L. Rust, a sophomore in speech communication from Chester; John C. Davis, a special assistant to SIU President Glenn Poshard; Tedgie D. Hennel, and Tim J. Estes, undergraduate admissions coordinators.
