Abell named interim purchasing directorDeborah A. Abell, who has more than 23 years of experience in public university purchasing, is the interim director of purchasing at SIUC. Kevin D. Bame, executive director of finance, recently announced the appointment. Abell's appointment was effective Jan. 23. The appointment is subject to ratification by the SIU Board of Trustees.
