Matthew McCarroll, an assistant professor in Chemistry and Biochemistry, received an unsolicited award of $1,000 from Eli Lilly.  The award is to be used for graduate student travel in supporting future leaders in the field of analytical chemistry. The Analytical Chemistry Academic Contacts Committee of Eli Lilly and Company stated the committee was "highly impressed" with McCarroll's research and value the impact he is making in the field of analytical chemistry.
