President Poshard, state budget to be 'In Focus'

Interviews with SIU President Glenn Poshard and reaction by area lawmakers to Gov. Rod Blagojevich's budget message are two upcoming programs on WSIU-TV's "InFocus" this month.

President Poshard will discuss his vision for the future of the SIU system and the many challenges and opportunities facing SIU in the new millennium at 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10. Producer Jak Tichenor conducts the program-length newsmaker interview.

At 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17, Tichenor talks with area lawmakers to get their reaction to Gov. Blagojevich's budget message. Blagojevich is scheduled to present his fiscal strategy for the upcoming fiscal year that begins July 1 when he addresses a joint session of the Illinois General Assembly on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
