Lordan, Dixon receive Phi Kappa Phi awardsSIUC English Professor E. Beth Lordan, and Mark R. Dixon, a professor in the Rehabilitation Institute, are recipients of 2007 awards from the SIUC chapter of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Lordan is chosen as Outstanding Artist, and Dixon chosen as Outstanding Scholar. Committees comprised of previous Outstanding Artist and Scholar recipients were very impressed by Lordan's and Dixon's records of research and creative activity, according to committee chair and SIUC theater Professor Ron Naversen. The awards include membership certificate in Phi Kappa Phi, active membership dues for the first year, $250, and the official Phi Kappa Phi medallion, which may be worn with their academic regalia. The chapter's annual induction ceremony for students and faculty will be in fall 2007.
